Cranbury Twp. – An investigation is conducted by the New Jersey State Police involving an accident at the Turnpike of New Jersey in Cranbury Twp., Middlesex County.
The mishap occurred just after 9:00 o’clock in Tuesday evening along the lanes of the New Jersey Turnpike north of Exit 8 going north.
N. J. State Police reported that three tractor trailers collided that resulted on an eruption of fire.
No details were out regarding injuries. Police advised motorists that delays are expected on the area.
The fiery crash involving 3 tractor trailers on the New Jersey Turnpike in Cranbury Township resulted to the death of one person. The crash took place late Tuesday night along the inner roadway of the northbound side of I-95, north of I-8 in the New Jersey Rte. 33.
New Jersey State Police confirmed that three rigs were involved in the fiery crash that forced them to close all northbound lanes. Traffic was backed up for as long as 2 1/2 miles.
Authorities said that more information will be made available after the investigation.
