North Versailles ? Nobody on the road, in any type of vehicle, and at any time is immune from accidents. This time, a mini school bus with students on board is one of two-vehicles involved in an accident in North Versailles. Authorities were thankful to report no fatalities.

According to emergency dispatchers who immediately responded to the call, the mishap took place in Block1700 of Lincoln Hi-way in the vicinity of the Giant Eagle.

It was reported that the school bus was carrying around 11students. Authorities are still probing on what cause the collision. What factor caused the crash has still to be solved.

The police could not explain the cause of the crash as well as info on the number of injured or if there were people injured at this time. But investigation is continuing.

Last Wednesday afternoon, the buying-spree of North Versailles Shopping Center was disrupted when a small school bus and a car were involved in a two-vehicle crash that happened outside the entrance to the center.

The corner of the Lincoln Highway and Luehm Avenue were soon filled with several ambulances and a fire truck at responded to the accident scene.

Police said that based on prelim investigation, the car veered towards the path of the school bus so occupants of the car had to be delivered to a hospital.

The bus driver was not injured, and there were no children on board at the time, police said.

According to the police of North Versailles, a bus from the Pennsylvania Coach Lines bus was going west along Lincoln Highway while the vehicle came from the opposite way. The car operator tried to negotiate a left turn crossing the traffic at Luehm Ave.

In the process, Chief Mike Volpe of the Fire Department of North Versailles said the bus struck the passenger side of the car. After the wreck, they had to extricate the woman passenger at the left.

Volpe stated that they used a spreader to reach the injured woman that they turned over to EMS of White Oak EMS and they were already carrying two other people in the ambulance.

Officer David Reiche of the North Versailles police later reported that two people in the car and an aide riding the bus were delivered to a local hospital. There was no injury sustained by the bus driver.

No comment was given by a representative from Pennsylvania Coach Lines who was present in the scene.
