Oil Creek Twp., Pa ? There was another crash in Oilcreek and according to the Franklin-based State Police it took place around 9:50 oclock in the evening. A two-vehicle accident occurred on Rouseville Road of State Route 227 in Oilcreek Twp., Venango County.

Police reported that Carl A. Bickel, age 20 and resident of Pleasantville, and Wendy L. Huff, age 45 and resident of Titusville, were the two drivers involved in the collision.

Authorities stated that the co0llision was between the Mercury 2006 Montego AWD, operated by Bickel, and a Chevrolet 2005 Trailblazer, driven by Huff. They were both traveling north along SR 227.

Bickel was trying to overtake Huff and, before he could pass him, he lost control of his Mercury and hit the drivers side of the Chevrolet.

Bickel behind the wheel lost control and swerved off the left side of the road right straight into a wooded area where it smashed several trees.

Bickel and his passenger, Breanna L. Williams, age 21 and resident of Grand Valley, were both wearing seat restraints.

Community Ambulance transported Bickel and Williams to Titusville Hospital as they both sustained injuries the extent of which was not given out to the media.

Meanwhile, the other driver Huff and her 29-year-old passenger identified as Chaliece N. Armstrong, resident of Titusville, were not injured and they were both wearing seat belts.

After prelim investigation, police said that Bickel will be cited for several traffic violations.

Responding to the incident and assisting in the scene were Volunteer Fire Departments of Cornplanter and Pleasantville.

Police confirmed that at least two young people were admitted to the Hospital in Titusville hospital after they were injured in a crash Monday at the Twp. of Oilcreek.?Injured were 20-year-old Carl Bickel, of Pleasantville, and his passenger, 21-year-old Breanna Williams, of Grand Valley. Up to the present, the hospital did not give any information regarding their status.

According the record, driver Bickel was trying to overtake the vehicle in front of him while driving on Rouseville Road. For unknown reasons, he lost control and hit the other vehicle on the drivers side. The impact propelled both Bickel and his passenger over an embankment while striking several trees.?Driver Wendy Huff and her passenger Chaliece Armstrong in the other vehicle were not injured as they were both wearing seatbelts.

Franklin-based State Police reported of another accident in almost the same area that happened a week ago. It was around 2:06 oclock in the afternoon when a one-vehicle accident occurred on Shamburg Road, in Oil Creek Township, Venango County.

Authorities said that Elaine P. Lydick, age 85 and resident of Pleasantville, was driving north along Shamburg Road. She was unaware that her Dodge 2003 Grand Caravan was travelling extremely close to the berm on the dirt road so she was propelled to a ditch that resulted to the damage of her front right wheel.

Luckily, Lydick was not injured for she was using her seat belt.
