Caln ? The identity of a woman who was killed in a single-vehicle accident Tuesday on the Route 30 Bypass was released by the police last Wednesday.
State police reported that Katie Anne Castaldi , age 31-year-old succumbed at about 9:10 0clock Tuesday morning? when for unknown reason, she lost control of her vehicle moving at the eastbound lanes of the Route 30 Bypass along Reeceville Road. Police narrated that Castaldis car went over both lanes of traffic prior to striking the concrete structure at the end of the bridge.
Castaldi, a resident of Downingtown, expired at the scene. Police officials said that they are still investigating the official cause of the crash.
Tuesday morning witnessed the police busy investigating the deadly Chester County wreck.
It was 9:00 oclock in the morning when fatal crash occurred along the Route 30 bypass lanes eastbound prior reaching the exit at Reeceville Road. A 3 HD copper above the scene pictured a vehicle on a ridge under an overpass after its operator appeared to have lost control.
Investigators did not immediately release the identity of one fatality.
For more than three hours, the eastbound lanes of the Route 30 bypass were closed but were re-opened shortly after 11:30 oclock that morning.
The fatality was later identified as 31-year-old Katie Anne Castaldi, resident of Sadsburyville. Working as an image consultant and stylist at a hair salon in Jeffersonville, she was well-loved by clients whom she helped to show the world their best faces. She died on the scene of critical injuries sustained injuries from the auto accident.
She died after her car swerved off the main road and hit the abutment of a bridge. The police are still trying to figure out the cause of the accident, which occurred the day after a snowfall.
Ms. Castaldi was movie-star beautiful and was a great asset as a master stylist with Ultimate Image, a hair salon and spa in Jeffersonville. Working in the business for a decade and a half, she taught and trained other stylists and consultants.
Ms. Castaldi was an alumna of Downingtown high School and the Center for Arts and Technology-School of Cosmetology. She went on to receive a bachelor’s degree in communications from Temple University in 2005.
Living up her motto of working hard and playing hard, Ms. Castaldi was a diligent. She is survived by her parents, husband and relatives who were one in mentioning that her smile could light up a room.
Visitations will be held Monday and Tuesday at Downing Towns St Joseph. After a funeral mass in the morning of Tuesday, she will be interred in St. Joseph Cemetery.
