PHILADELPHIA – It was such a peaceful early morning of Saturday when the Philadelphia police responded to an emergency call. A report was made of a head-on crash at the Frankford section of the city which resulted to one person dead.
Police were informed by witnesses that a little before 2:30 o’clock that morning, the driver of a Honda black Civic lost control of his car that it veered over the median line along 4000 block at Aramingo Ave. as it collided with a Buick head-on.
A few seconds later, another vehicle, a Ford Focus crashed into both vehicles.
Police stated that the driver of the Honda was killed from the crash. The fatality was identified as Angelo Mills, age 25. The impact of the crash killed him on the spot.
There were three other injured victims who were transported by ambulance to the Hospital of Hahnemann. One of the persons was listed in serious condition, the second listed under stable condition and the third sustained a broken ankle.
The police are continuing their investigation of the case.

According to the police, the operator of a Honda Civic was driving going north along southbound lanes of the road. He was at the wrong side of the lane so he hit head on a Buick LeSabre going in the right direction. The impact of the collision was so immense that it pushed the Buick to crash into a third vehicle, a Nissan Rogue.
The driver of the vehicle going the wrong way was identified as Angelo Mills, age 25 who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Buick had three occupants who were injured. They were all transported to University Hospital of Hahneman. The driver complained of a broken ankle; one of the female passengers, age 20 was listed in critical condition & sustaining internal injuries and a second male passenger, age 22, was listed in stable condition.
The driver of the Nissan was not injured at all.
As the authorities are gathering more information, the accident remains under investigation. The police are requesting witnesses who have additional information to contact them. They would like to know the reason for the crash. If the main factor is alcohol or drugs, it could be discover by a sobriety test.
