The start of the New Year was ominous with several deadly accidents happening which could have been averted if people were more careful and concerned for their own their safety, as well as others on the road.
Thursday morning was greeted with a two-car crash at the corner of Krewstown Road and Grant Avenue that caused the injuries of several people. Police reported that at about 6:45 o’clock in the morning, two cars collided which propelled one car to the sidewalk at the same time hitting a utility pole. Two persons were injured and transported to the local hospital. One person was placed on a stretcher by emergency responders and brought by an ambulance to the local hospital. There was another person with minor injuries who was also delivered to the hospital.
Investigators are interviewing witnesses to get more information about the incident.
