On Saturday morning, the police were following up a fatal two-car accident that happened at Holmesburg. According to police, the operator of a Mazda 2010 hit his vehicle into a tractor trailer parked along the  9000 block of Torresdale Avenue at 2:25o’clock in the morning. Police stated that the Mazda was running at top speed when it veered off the roadway. Running out of control, the car burst into flame.

The operator of the Mazda was trapped inside which was later retrieved as a badly burnt body. Authorities were unable to identify sex, age or race but the police finally learned that it was a male.

Officials are conducting an investigation of the mishap.
