Last Sunday morning, two police officers were hurt in an accident after answering a call in West Philly. It was about a crash that took place just before 11:30 o’clock in the morning at Chestnut and 49th Streets.

The officers’ patrol car was going east along Chestnut Street while a civilian vehicle was heading southbound on 49th Street. As both vehicles were near the corner, the police car tried to swerve to prevent a collision, but instead it hit the other vehicle and then slammed against a utility pole while the civilian vehicle crashed a light pole.

Two officers in the cruise sustained cuts to their face and were suffering from neck pain. They both were transported to the University of Pennsylvania Hospital where the medical staff confirmed that they are in stable condition.

The female driver of the civilian vehicle suffered minor injuries and was delivered to the University hospital for treatment and evaluation.

No charges were filed.

Car Accident victims may be entitled to financial compensation for pain and suffering in addition to economic damages.
