Early Sunday morning, Philadelphia police are doing their investigation of two separate accidents that occurred.

Incident number one took place at around 2:00 o’clock in the morning at the corner of Somerset and 2nd Streets in the Fairhill section of the city.

Police related that two vehicles collided at the corner which transported one victim to the Temple University Hospital. No information regarding the status of the patient was released.

At about 4:16 o’clock early morning, accident number two happened at the Woodhaven Road in the area of Knights Road in NE Philadelphia.

According to police report, 25-years-old operator Ashley Aldworth was driving her Hyundai 2005 Tucson heading east towards Woodhaven Road. For unknown reasons, she lost control of the car and hit the guard rail. The vehicle then turned over and slipped down the embankment.

A 25-year-old female driver unable to control her car hit a guardrail on the eastbound side and caused the car to roll over onto its roof. Aldworth, suffering critical injuries was transported to Frankford’s Aria Hospital where she expired at 4:54 o’clock in the morning.
