NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA – At least three people were transported to the hospital after a crash along I-95 in Northeast Philadelphia. A mishap at the vicinity of Route 1-95 sent three people to the hospital after two were both ejected from the vehicle.

The accident occurred at 11:30 o’clock Friday night just south of the Cottman Avenue ramp of the highway. Two cars were involved in the accident.

According to the police report, a 2003 Acura operated by 20-year-old Youn Zelenskiy was speeding so much faster compared with the other vehicles on the road.

Then another vehicle, a 1994 Acura Legend was driven by 18-year-old Michael Vasquez.  He was also traveling fast then he tried to switch lanes.  As he did so, the  rear  of his car was hit  by Zelenskiy’s vehicle.

Due to the impact, both cars were out of control. The traveled blindly and crashed through a guardrail on the side. The Acura Legend of Vasquez’ landed on grassy area which was 300 feet away from the place of the crash.

Zelenskiy driving his 2003 Acura has a passenger who was identified as 20-year-old Trinard Sharpe. The crash, the impact ejected both Zelenskiy and Sharpe.after their vehicle overturned approximately 100 feet away from the location of the vehicle.

The medical team pronounced the condition of Zelenskiy as life-threatening while Vasquez was listed in stable condition. They were both transported to Aria Hospital in Torresdale.

Sharpe sustained critical injuries and was immediately taken to Hahnemann University Hospital

No further information has been released regarding the conditions of the victims taken to the hospitals. Police are continuing their investigation of the case..
