NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA – It was another accident that claimed one life. Another driver was killed when the vehicle he was driving turned onto its roof in Northeast Philadelphia.
Sunday morning started badly when the accident occurred at1:50 on East Woodhaven Road near the exit ramp for Knights Road.
Authorities say a Ford F250, driven by a 39-year-old driver, lost control, causing the vehicle to flip over.
The impact must have been very strong that it crushed the victim which caused his death. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released.
The authorities have still to make investigation to bring a closure to the case. They are requesting any witness to come forward and add more details to the incident.
The driver will be tested if he was driving DUI or was falling asleep while on the wheels. One witness claimed that the car was running in full speed when the crash happened.
They are still trying to find out if the 39 years old driver was under the influence of drugs or alcohol. They will also try to discover why the vehicle was out of control – was it a mechanical malfunction?
The identity of the fatality was not revealed to the media pending findings of the case. Or to whom will the case be filed with the driver dead.
But authorities are continuing investigation so that accidents like this will not happen again.
